Meet Your Host
Christiaan Abbott has always been curious about the world, a passion he inherited from his parents, who instilled in him a love of learning and reading from an early age. As the son of a retired Air Force Colonel, Christiaan had the unique privilege of moving frequently during his childhood, giving him the opportunity to experience life in different places and connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
At 15, Christiaan began a professional dancing career that opened doors to incredible opportunities. From ballet and modern dance companies to Las Vegas productions, national tours, cruise ships, and theme parks, he had the chance to work with award-winning choreographers like Arlene Phillips, Antony Van Laast, and Jerry Jackson, as well as share the stage with performers such as Wayne Brady, Michael Crawford, and David Cassidy.
When his time as a dancer came to an end, Christiaan found new ways to contribute to the performing arts, taking on roles as a stage manager and later as a cruise director for Disney Cruise Line. His journey eventually led him to leadership roles, including Creative Director and Director of Entertainment, where he helped shape memorable experiences for guests and teams alike.
Christiaan’s path has been anything but traditional. Without a formal degree, he has always relied on his own curiosity and drive to keep learning. He explored new challenges, including working for a business incubator where he helped startups launch and grow. These experiences, paired with a nomadic lifestyle, have given him a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the value of adaptability and lifelong learning.
While he has had the honor of working in extraordinary roles and with remarkable people, Christiaan approaches his journey with gratitude, knowing that each step has been an opportunity to grow, connect, and share his passion for creativity and discovery.
